Unitarians today!
simply put believe in one God or Higher power thats LOVE.
Our Sunday meetings are ways of looking at this, on one Sunday of the month we discuss religions, helping people to grow their own understanding. Sunday evenings are informal times looking at different ways of seeing belief in life.
Some evenings we have a film and discuss the meanings behind the story line. Sometimes we invite other faiths to visit us and chat about their views, allowing us to gain understanding.
First Sunday of the month at 11 oclock we have amore tradional Sunday Morning Service aimed at all ages, so children welcome.
We try to be a child friendly church and children are welcome at all our meetings.
Brightlights is the name we give to family events that we like to run occasionally. Picnics and trips out for all ages finding spirituality inthe world around us.
Today’s Unitarians believe that:
– everyone has the right to seek truth and meaning for themselves.
– the fundamental tools for doing this are your own life experience, your reflection upon it, your intuitive understanding and the promptings of your own conscience.
– the best setting for this is within a community that welcomes you for who you are, complete with your beliefs, doubts and questions.
